About this course
The pathway is three courses in sequence. Level 1 (2 hours, on demand) covers recognising damp and mould and escalating it properly. At Level 2 (7 hours, on demand) you choose either residential buildings or traditional and historic buildings. Level 3 is the ABBE Award in Damp, Mould and Condensation in Buildings, taken over two live online days or about 15 hours on demand.
For a domestic energy assessor it is a natural next step. You are already in homes looking at fabric, ventilation and heating, and damp and mould now sits squarely on landlords' and housing providers' agendas after Awaab's Law. The pathway is led by Professor John Edwards, a practising surveyor who has investigated moisture in buildings since 1981.
